Passion

When I was in Master's Pastor Timothy always said "Your passion will either make you or break you." Never relize what that meant until this year. Its been 2 years since I been out of Masters. We had a set thing every morning: Woke Up, Went to prayer, Did scripture memory, went to class, and so on. When I graduated from there I will be honest with you I didn't do none of that. Pastor Casey always picked on me about that. Saying "You lost your Master's stuff didn't you." In reality I did. This past year I was in prayer at Westlake Assembly of God and God opened up my eyes. He said "Matt, where did your first love go, where did you leave ME at. You are to worried about who won last nights game or just to busy in your everyday life. Why am I not important to you anymore." As I got up from the floor, crying my eyes out. I repented right there and didnt care who heard me. I then notice that after I left my first love at home or wherever. I began to sin.
In Matt 6:21, Jesus says, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” PASSION...Also let me define passion for you real quick...this kind passion is not just an emotion or feeling.
PASSION- A STRONG, EXTRAVAGANT FONDNESS, ENTHUSIASM, OR DESIRE FOR SOMETHING.
One more scripture from the message and I will leave you alone.
Psalm 42:1 A white-tailed deer drinks from the creek; I want to drink God, deep drafts of God. I am thirsty for God alive!
This is where I want to encourge you. The thing you love most or have more passion than anyone or anything else. Which should be God. Is calling you right now asking those questions. Here is the cool thing, you may leave him, but he is still there.
